I've only seen Se7en and Fight Club. But there's so much going on in Fight Club it's mind blowing. And probably the only thing in existence where you get just as much out of the film as the movie.

Yes, but seeing as how Fight Club is number 21 on IMDb's list, does it really belong in this thread?

Yes. It's not number 1. Mean while a film about the scum of the earth and glorfiing the most disgusting life style we have is number 1. IMDB and people are messed up.

Call me stupid, but I don't understand any David Lynch films at all. if that's a reason to criticize them for you, than it is understandable why you don't like them. you see, lynch's films are not about "understanding", they are living and breathing artworks which you have to look at, maybe think about them and then come up with your own ideas how you might interpret them. lynch films are not made for enjoyment, nor to watch them on a saturday afternoon after you've got nothing better to do. trying to explain a lynch wouldn't make any sense, because everybody in the audience is right and wrong with his own thoughts at the same time. that's why I love lynch so much. there is no "straight" way to interpret them. If you want to watch a lynch that's pretty much straight forward and (even) enjoyable to watch, I would highly recommend: - Wild At Heart - Blue Velvet (maybe the best neo-noir to date) - Twin Peaks: The Series (never a bad way to start a david lynch session)

Falling Down The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford Let the Right One In (a MUST SEE for anyone who hates Twilight) SLC Punk Steal This Movie There Will Be Blood (don't know if it's categorized as underrated, but it's better than Fight Club) Slumdog Millionaire (also beats Fight Club, and I love Palahuniuk) And I second Stand By Me, from the dude who mentioned it earlier. The assasination of Jesse James By the coward robert ford? do you know how historically inaccurate that movie was it got everything accept how robert died wrong even Jesse's death was misquoted and in the wrong area of his home I loved the scenery in it but I thought everything else was garbage Jesse carried the wrong pistol's the movie glaringly made several things they reffered to as facts up but Im not trying to start an argument Im a western History buff so I had reason to be upset hollywood hasnt turned out a truly great western since tombstone I feel

Hey, I enjoyed The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford; I don't know anything about history, so it sucks that they muffed so many facts, but I just liked it for the story.
