How would you do it? my way which im considering writing as a fan-script would take 2 or 3 hours to tell, it would erase the idea of a sequel in some aspects, unless you wanted to tell the war story of it, but essentially here's what the story is broken down
Kyle's Time in the war
Kyle adjusting to being in current time
Kyle in love with sarah, trying to keep her protected
Sarah adjusting to everything that's happening
Sarah In Love with Kyle
Sarah(only before she meets Kyle) Contemplating Suicide
Sarahs' plan to destroy sky-net before the war can start
The Terminator. hunt for Kyle and Sarah
it would follow closer to the original script treatment James Cameron wrote, and would have 2 people sent to keep Sarah alive and would end with Kyle and Sarah destroying Sky-Net
