Fight Club. It's not reveread as the greatest and mos tmindblowing film of all time. There for it is underrated 'you sure about that? everyone around here loves fight club, many even read the book after watching it. sure, it's not seen as a "mindblowing" movie, but I wouldn't say that it is underrated either.

Falling Down The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford Let the Right One In (a MUST SEE for anyone who hates Twilight) SLC Punk Steal This Movie There Will Be Blood (don't know if it's categorized as underrated, but it's better than Fight Club) Slumdog Millionaire (also beats Fight Club, and I love Palahuniuk)
And I second Stand By Me, from the dude who mentioned it earlier.

You'll grow out of it, I promise: I thought making bombs and sticking it to the man by blowing them up was cool when I was in high school, too.

I go with Lost Highway, it's by far the best David Lynch and as far as I know didn't even got released on dvd around the united states. it's funny when we europeans get something that you don't have for a change. Bill Pulman is incredible in this, maybe his best acting to date, as well as the always wonderful Patricia Arquette. Almost every Lynch after that looked like he is trying to copy this film again and again, but it never worked quite as well as it did here.
"Sympathy For Lady Vengeance" and "Sympathy For Mr. Vengeance" are both great movies too that never got the praise that Chan-Wook Park's, incredible, manga-adaption "Oldboy" got. It's a real shame since both of them are incredibly well done and maybe two of the most depressing movies of all-time. They let you think so much about the human-nature of violence and how our world reflects it. Both films feature such interesting anti-heroes who just want to set wrong things right but they are getting confronted by the hard-truth of our cold, corrupted world. I love these movies.
