I've notice most of us as well as you seem to be writers who haven't caught a break in writting for companies or getting yourself out there? what about the idea of turning Comic Tube Society into a Comic Book Company so that we as well as you could write our own Characters inside single universe, and play our hands at the big game, some of us can draw others can write, we could trade off on books but start with creator owned work and publish and sell everything online? i wonder what you would think, seeing as how you guys are the watcher of the boards

a good idea but then you run into a lot of problems problem 1 being funding we could set up an account for donations but then if the whole thing never went through a lot of people would feel ripped off and a lot of us moderators dont have regular contact with one another a big must when running a company problem 2 if we all published we would probabley get tangled up in who created what or who got inspiration from who it seems like a giant legal hassle we would start having to approve people for membership and at the same time putting something online you havent at least poor man patented is suicide if you came up with the next spiderman and put it up before you got it patented it wuldnt be yours I do like the idea of kinda branching into a comic company but I dont see that happening in the near future

GarlenGreenGoblin I think this is the start of the MOST AWESOME IDEA EVER! yeah but in the long run JTrain is right, too much argueing no Editor In Chief and all that, we'd have to group up and have a business plan and all that and i dont think they'd like that

Maybe if we did it purely for fun, not for profits. To be honest, setting up a profit system would only add to the complications of actually making the comics (who does what, who created what, due dates, etc.). If enough people like reading the comics as well as us making them, we could add profits. Not at first though.
About organization... We are going to need some kind of system where we have a separate forum for our comics called "Comic Creation" or something. In the forum, there will be, depending on how many comics we are making, a number of announcement threads that explain who is doing what and who came up with what. For example, if somebody has an idea or a story arc, say it in your idea thread and they will post it for you in the thread that corresponds with the book you are working on.
Ex.
Forum: Comic Creations
- Announcement: Book 1 (Where admin/mods finalize ideas and who does what) - Announcement: Book 2 - Announcement: Book 3 - Announcement: Book 1 Ideas (Where people post ideas for their book) - Announcement: Book 2 Ideas - Announcement: Book 3 Ideas
- Announcement: Book 1 Finished Product (Finished written/drawn pages) - Announcement: Book 2 Finished Product - Announcement: Book 3 Finished Product
Other than maybe a welcome thread, these should be the only threads in the forum. Catch my drift? Also, if an artist wants to show the writer their progress (or vise versa), send them a PM.
I think that if everyone follows this, it should run smoothly. I really want to do this, and I hope others do as well.
*Also, I understand that this is was intended to be proposed to the admins and mods, and I'm neither of those. Sorry in advance.

but we would need assigned artists, and copyright information so that writers and artists owned their properties

This sounds like a really bad idea for publishing. We'd have no where near enough money. And no editor to keep it all straight.
