Check this out, it's so simple it's stupid. Doesn't needing government approval to get married sound like something we'd give a Totalitarian regime a load of shit about?
The Solution to Gay Marraige: END Government approval of marriage. The whole point of approving Marriage is to create a special tax bracket. Fine Beef up the Child Tax Credit and call it good. Quit being stupid.
I hate people who insist that government is ALWAYS the solution and won't accept the obvious fact that it IS the problem.

Riiiight and the fact that marrige means basicly nothing without the governments say so. I mean if it doesn't give you tax benefits why woudl gay people want it? The only other reason woudl be religious. Your solution really makes no sence at all.

It's about forcing Catholics to perform the marriage they just won't come out and say it just like the other side won't come out and say it's about banning being gay.

also that completely takes states rights out of the picture. FEDERALIST SWINE lol. jkjk
It's obvious that gays want marriage for the benefits. Heath insurance, taxes, last testaments ect. I am really not that religious at all, so marriage to me is just a title. Some may want it because of the love and the "true unity" that comes with the title of being "married" but in reality, if there were no marriage benefits, gays would not need to be married and there for there really would be no conflict because when you try to convince one side of an argument to think conversely by using emotions, you find yourself with a weak argument.
